Haugesund is a coastal city with approximately 32.000 inhabitants, and is a merchant centre for the surrounding municipalities on Haugalandet.
The range of cultural offers ,both for children,youths and adults, is rich. And we will aspecially recommend the areas surrounding the city, which are perfect for Sunday walks and also mountain trips with many different tracks. The summer is festivaltime in Haugesund, with a series of festivals and conserts. Both Sildajazz and Filmfestival are arranged in August , with it`s lively crowd of people.
