Health and Care Ministry has the overall responsibility for all hospitals in Norway, and the state owns the public hospitals. Hospitals are organized in four regional health.
Healthcare in our region is the "Helse Vest" and our local hospital's Helse Fonna.
Hospitals will contribute to:
• Promote public health, alleviate sickness, injury, illness and disability
• Provide equal services to patient needs
• Ensure service quality
• Ensure patient accessibility to the service
• Ensure the best use of resources
Hospital
Hospitals offer specialized treatment population. In addition, the hospitals involved in research, education and training of patients and their families.
